Welcome to the brand new Bar at Mtakatyi River Lodge! Enjoy refreshing drinks by the swimming pool while taking in breath-taking views from our deck overlooking the river mouth and the sea. It is the perfect place to relax and cool off! Next to the Pool Bar we also have a kitchen and pizza oven, making it an ideal location for big groups and functions.

The viewing deck allows guests to soak in the breath-taking views of the picturesque Mtakatyi River Valley, creating an unforgettable backdrop for your celebration. Our spacious kitchen with commercial appliances means catering for large events is not an issue. In addition, the wood-fired pizza oven adds a unique food option on the Wild Coast as well as a cosy ambiance to your gathering, ensuring an unforgettable experience!

Pool Bar
A Bar and swimming pool are our newest attractions at Mtakatyi River Lodge! The swimming pool is circular, wrapping around the bar, and has a total length of an Olympic sized swimming pool. It's unique design also makes it more fun for everyone! The Bar is also round and can easily fit up to 20 people around it, with plenty more space inside. There are also two Flatscreen TV's and wifi to watch entertainment or listen to music! There are bridges going over the pool on either side, and one leads you onto a viewing deck, overlooking the serene Mtakatyi River valley and the sea. Overall a perfect spot to cool off, have a refreshing drink, and relax as you take in the beautiful surroundings.
Kitchen And Pizza Oven
Alongside our Pool Bar, we now offer a brand new kitchen area, equipped with top-notch industrial-grade appliances. There is also our new wood-fired pizza oven and braai facilities, perfect for outdoor gatherings. Plus, we’ve added male and female ablutions, as well as an outside shower for your convenience. The pool bar and kitchen area is the perfect blend of relaxation and great food. With plenty of space, it is perfect for catering to everyone's needs and makes for a great functions venue!
